Module #10 

Creation of mask 

1. Upload the three (3) inspiration images to your Blog. Explain why you selected the inspiration pieces.

     2. Include the analysis and description (art criticism steps) of the three (3) inspiration pieces.

I selected these three things, easter eggs, grass and my favorite color as the background for painting. For inspiration I looked at easter pictures. These easter pictures gave me the idea of creating the mask, with an easter design. Also using a plastic bottle as my mask, was so difficult, i went through a lot of trouble trying to paint it. 

3. Upload images of your thumbnail sketches and finished piece.

4. Explain how you used the Elements and Principles in your finished mask.

I used the elements and principles of art by choosing colors with each other. Colors that looked well together and complemented each other. I also used different textures to give the mask more details. 

5. Share your opinion of your finished mask and what you thought about creating the mask.

I love my mask, Easter is such a big deal for my family and means so much to be, as it represents my religion and my beliefs. I loved the way my mask came out, although I wish I was able to go to the store and buy the materials I needed instead of using things that I found around the house. Using a soda bottle was so difficult because I wasn't able to get it straight.
